Lack of a succession plan and leadership development process resulted in need to:
- Assess current talent, match them against near term needs, and accelerate development of manufacturing leaders, who could step into leadership vacancies on a moment’s notice
- Develop and implement a succession plan and development system to assure development of leadership talent to support the organization into the future.
- Development of a strategy and supporting process to support future leadership needs – and which serves as a template to for succession and leadership development systems for other functions.
- Development of tools and resources for assessment and development
- Integration of all processes, tools and links to external resources, and implementation across business units in all global regions
